The Way to Happiness The Bern Tablet of Cebes and Baroque Imagery

A monumental painting in the holdings of the Kunstmuseum Bern shows mankind’s path to happiness. In an exhibition organized in collaboration with the Institute of Art History at Bern University, the famous Tablet of Cebes from 1633 is being shown for the first time in its cultural-historical setting. Embedded in a context of prints, drawings and paintings, The Way to Happiness. The Bern Tablet of Cebes and Baroque Imagery provides a deep insight into the reality of bourgeois life in the 17th century.
