Collection of the museum

The constantly growing and changing collection comprises works from the Gothic era to the present and currently comprises over 4,000 paintings and sculptures as well as 50,000 drawings, prints, photographs, videos and films.

This makes it not only one of the most important and variegated collections in Switzerland but, due to its collections of works from the classical modern, also one of international significance.
