Liquid Reflections Works from the Anne-Marie and Victor Loeb Foundation

Harald Szeemann described the approach of Anne-Marie Loeb-Haymann (1916-1999) and Victor Loeb (1910-1974) in accruing their collection as decisively affirmative of the present. The couple purchased in particular contemporary artworks from 1964 until 1974, finding inspiration largely in exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Bern — as well in close cooperation with its director Harald Szeemann. These works showcase the experimental departures in the art of the time.
