Crazy, Cruel and Full of Love Works from the Collection of Contemporary Art
What do contemporary art works tell us about the emotional roller-coaster that we have experienced in lockdown? The threat to health and fatalities were joined by new existential uncertainties, while ‘social distancing’ has become the byword of the moment. On the other hand we have been able to experience greater solidarity, neighbourly help and greater communication within the family.
In our compilation of works from the collection of contemporary art – the title of the exhibition is taken from a work by the Geneva artist Vidya Gastaldon – we embark on a journey through the history of the most recent art. Always in search of what the artists can tell us about extreme conditions and emotions.
With works by: Marina Abramović, Luc Andrié, Christian Boltanski, Michael Buthe, Miriam Cahn, Martin Disler, Quynh Dong, Vidya Gastaldon, Daiga Grantina, David Hominal, Urs Lüthi, Markus Raetz, Jean-Frédéric Schnyder, Francisco Sierra.
